About LabelSize

What LabelSize does

LabelSize is a free, browser-based tool for working out the size of a label for bottles, jars, candle vessels, cans, tubes and cups, and for generating a dieline you can print or cut.

It handles straight containers and tapered ones, where a flat rectangle won't sit properly. For tapered containers it calculates the curved shape a label needs, from your top diameter, bottom diameter and height.

Who it's for

Small businesses, designers, Etsy sellers, cosmetics and candle makers, food producers, print shops and anyone using a Cricut or Silhouette who wants to get a label right before printing a batch.

How it works

Everything runs locally in your browser: the calculations, the previews and the SVG, PNG and PDF files. There's no account and nothing is uploaded. The math uses standard geometry (C = π × D for straight containers and the development of a truncated cone for tapered ones).
